Relatives of Easter Sunday victims leave for Vatican

A delegation of the Catholic church including 30 relatives and those disabled by the Easter Sunday terror attacks, led by the Archbishop of Colombo His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith left for Rome yesterday morning at the invitation of the Vatican.

The delegation also included Bishops, Priests and Nuns attached to St. Anthony’s Church in Kochchikade and St Sebastian’s Church in Katuwapitiya. They will participate in a special commemorative service for the hundreds of innocent civilians killed in the Easter Sunday attacks on April 25 at St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.Counsel of Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, Shammil Perera, PC accompanied the delegation.
