Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji took Instagram on Wednesday to share a special video of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt from their film ‘Brahmastra’ as ‘they enter a new chapter of their life’. Confirming the much waited Alia-Ranbir wedding, he wrote, “For Ranbir and For Alia! And… For this Sacred Journey they are going to embark on soon ! ❤️🥰💥.” Ayan added, “My closest and dearest people in this world… my happy place, and my safe place… who have added everything to my life… and given themselves completely and selflessly to our movie.”
Ayan Mukerji signed off the post with these words: “We just had to share a piece of their union, from our movie, from our song Kesariya, to celebrate them… as a gift to them, and to Everyone! Wishing that the best of Energies and all the Blessings, all the Joy and all the Purity, surround them as they enter an amazing new chapter of life, together forever #loveisthelight.” In the comments section, Alia Bhatt dropped heart emojis.
Ayan Mukerji, who is Ranbir Kapoor’s best friend and has worked with the actor in films like Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, on Wednesday, was papped arriving at Ranbir Kapoor’s Vaastu on Tuesday, which has been decked up with flowers to host the big celeb wedding of the year.
Earlier today, Karan had also shared the same video with a love-filled caption for the couple. “Love is light and I know the amount of light you have brought into each other’s and our lives with your love. To new beginnings and more❤️❤️❤️#RanbirKapoor @aliaabhatt #brahmastra,” he wrote.
Going by several reports and other sources, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are tying the knot on April 15. There wedding festivities have begun today.
Meanwhile, Brahmastra is set to hit theatres on September 9. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
