Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, his cabinet to visit Delhi govt schools, Mohalla clinics tomorrow

Chandigarh:

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his cabinet ministers will visit the Delhi government schools and Mohalla clinics on Monday where state Chief Minister and Aam Aadami Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal will join the delegation.

Earlier, the Chief Minister on Thursday announced about the visit of his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann and the ministers to see the “remarkable improvement” brought by AAP regime.

This comes days after the AAP convener received criticism for holding a meeting with the state’s top bureaucrats in Mann’s absence. The Opposition alleged that the Punjab government was being run through “remote control” from Delhi.

While addressing a programme at the Thyagaraj Stadium on the occasion of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, Kejriwal said his government has improved government schools to such an extent that people from across the globe are coming to see these “remarkable changes”.

In the latest, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin also visited the Delhi schools and Mohalla Clinics during his three-day visit to the national capital who came here for inaugurating the ‘Anna-Kalaignar Arivalayam’, his party’s new office on April 2.

After visiting schools on April 1, Stalin had said his government is replicating the model of Delhi’s government schools in Tamil Nadu.
