Naga Chaitanya is going great guns in his films signing new projects. While his much awaited Bollywood debut Laal Singh Chaddha is in anticipation, the actor has bagged a new bilingual film, which will mark his Kollywood entry. Naga Chaitanya is all set to team up with director Venkat Prabhu for his next film, tentatively titled NS22. The film is being made in Telugu and Tamil. Bankrolled by production house Srinivasaa Silver Screen, NS22 is being presented by Pavan Kumar.
On Wednesday, the makers took to social media and shared a few pics with Naga Chaitanya to announce the new venture. Fans are excited for this combo as the director is known for blockbuster films including his recently released film Maanadu with Silambarsan TR.
Sharing pictures with Naga Chaitanya, director Venkat Prabhu on Twitter wrote, “God is kind.. with the blessings of almighty and my fans I am happy to announce my next, a bilingual film (tamil & telugu) with my brother @chay_akkineni produced by @SS_Screens @srinivasaaoffl #NC22 #VP11 #SSS10”
Naga Chaitanya also took to his social media handles to share a happy message on new beginnings. “So happy to be announcing my next #NC22 a Telugu – Tamil bilingual directed by @venkat_prabhu and produced by @srinivasaasilverscreenoffl . Looking forward to this exciting new journey !” he wrote.
Talking about teaming up with Naga Chaitanya, Venkat Prabhu says, “I am aware of Naga Chaitanya’s strengths and the sensibilities of Telugu audiences and hence I have prepared a winning script for the movie. It is an out and out commercial entertainer. The film will not only have many noted actors but also have signed some popular technicians who will take care of different crafts.”
While an official confirmation is awaited, the rumour has it that Pooja Hegde has been roped in to play the leading lady in NS22.
