News24 Conclave: Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari reveals crucial details of Bharatmala project

New Delhi:

India is one of the countries in the world which is progressing at the fastest rate. But for the development of any country, it is necessary to develop its highways. It would not be wrong to say that the development of highways is the development of the country in the real sense.

On this topic, News24 organized ‘Bharatmala’ conclave in the national capital Delhi on Tuesday.

Bharatmala is an ambitious project of the Government of India, through which the goal of connecting the whole of India through roads has been set.

In this program, News 24 Editor-in-Chief Anuradha Prasad and Sandeep Chaudhary had a special conversation with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.

Here are the special excerpts of this conversation:

– The United States (US) is rich, so the roads there are not the best. Rather, the roads there are excellent, so the US is rich.

– In 1995, Dhirubhai Ambani’s tender for Mumbai Puna Highway was rejected.

– We made a bet with them and completed this work in two years.

– Right now our strategy is to become increasingly dependent on alternative fuels like ethanol.

– Will prepare ethanol and bitumen from stubble, sugarcane, maize. Roads will be made from that bitumen. That’s why the farmer will not be the feeder of food, he will become the provider of energy.

– I am a leader who shows dreams, but if I do not fulfill my dreams, people will be beaten up. That’s why I make dreams come true.

– By cleaning the dirty water of Delhi with electrolyzer, we will make hydrogen, will make methane. Trains, trucks and planes will fly from it. The hydrogen we will prepare will be green hydrogen instead of black or brown, which will be pollution free.

– Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the central government provides a huge amount to connect the villages with roads.

– There is a need for a balanced policy between development and environment, the court should also cooperate in this.
