The new Cabinet will include a number of new young faces while several former Senior Ministers are expected to lose their portfolios, a Government source said.
Also the source said the new Cabinet of Ministers is likely to be sworn in before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today (18).
It is said that the final decision on the new Cabinet has been taken after discussions between the President and other former members of the Cabinet.
During the talks, President Rajapaksa it is said had informed former Ministers that a limited Cabinet would be appointed to run the Government. The source further said that President Rajapaksa had emphasized that he was acting in accordance with the Constitution and would not take any action outside of it.
