Maharashtra: Massive consignment of swords recovered in Dhule, BJP slams state govt

The Maharashtra Police has recovered a cache of swords from Dhule. According to the police, all the swords and daggers were brought from Rajasthan to Maharashtra. The police have arrested 4 accused in this case.

According to the information received, Dhule police chased a Scorpio travelling on the Mumbai-Agra highway and a team of Songir police seized 89 swords along with a dagger. A shocking fact has come to the fore that these weapons are being brought from Chittorgarh in Rajasthan to Jalna city.

The Songir police have arrested four people residing in Chandanjira area of Jalna city and registered a case against them for possessing illegal arms. Police are trying to find out who had ordered such a large quantity of weapons and for what purpose.

BJP has slammed the Uddhav government after getting a cache of swords and asked the question whether preparations are being made to organize riots in Maharashtra. BJP has demanded an inquiry from the government into this whole matter.

Earlier in Jalna, the police had seized 19 swords. Recently, two youths were also arrested by the police from Jalna in the Aurangabad sword hoarding case. Therefore, the Jalna connection of these weapons is coming to the fore, so there is only one commotion in the city.

Dhule’s Songir police have arrested four accused Mohammad Sharif Mohammad Shafiq, Sheikh Ilyas Sheikh Latikh, Syed Naeem Syed Rahim and driver Kapil Vishnu Dabhade from Chandanjira area of Jalna. A case has been registered against the four accused in Jalna. The swords seized by the police had ‘Sirohi ki Talwar’ written on them and the warranty was 30 years.
