Women continue to break all the barriers created by society. Women worldwide have proven that they can achieve anything they set their hearts on. A woman raised in the steel city of Rourkela, Padmini, is the perfect example of an empowered woman. Padmini is an exceptional artist and a successful businesswoman who runs many foundations for the deprived. Padmini embarked on her successful voyage by starting as a professional classical entertainer and a thriving businesswoman.
Since childhood, Padmini has been an avid learner with a thirst for knowledge. She enjoys imparting and sharing her wisdom. She started taking classical dance lessons when she was six years old. After completing her schooling at Uditnagar High School, Rourkela, Padmini pursued Visharad in Hindustani classical vocal from Gandharv University, Mumbai. She is a trained classical dancer with a Master’s degree in Performing Arts from the prominent Sambalpur University. She also completed her Master’s in HR and Marketing from Xavier’s Institute of Management (XIMB), Odisha, and MSc from Sambalpur University. Padmini has completed her PhD in Arts and Culture.
She has performed and received many accolades for her classical dance and singing. She has promoted Odisha’s rich culture in the most prominent cities of India and internationally too. Padmini is famous all over Odisha for her talent, elegance, and how gracefully she tells a story through her finesse in classical dancing. It is spectacular to watch Padmini perform, as her dance and expressive eyes leave the audience in awe.
She works closely with the Government of Odisha to promote Odisha’s rich culture. Padmini has also engaged with All India Radio (AIR) and several TV channels to sing and lend her soulful voice. Padmini runs multiple NGOs such as – Dream Team Foundation and Koshala Darpana – for providing basic needs to underprivileged people and promoting artists in need, respectively.
Padmini Panigrahi began working with Sanjog mobile in 2000, honed her skills, gained first-hand experience for six years, and later, Padmini became a director of one of the leading car dealers in India. Since 2006 she has been the director at Koshala Hyundai till date.
Padmini Panigrahi has won many accolades as a businesswoman. In 2013 Best Dealer Partner in Cati H2; in 2014 – Best Performer in Overall Service in KPI; in 2017 – Times Achiever Award at Bhubaneshwar; in 2018, she was the winner of Elite Dealer In Eastern Zone; and the list goes on. In 2019, she spoke and performed on an independent TEDx platform by Taxila Business School. Padmini Panigrahi attained Power Woman 2021 title by Times Group in Odisha.
Padmini is a singer, dancer, artist, businesswoman, philanthropist, and yoga therapist. She is strong-headed about breaking all the stigmas held against women and empowering women all over
India by being a motivating example for hundreds of women. She also wrote a mesmerizing article in a book about Chhau dance.
