Now new companies are all set to launch in the CNG car segment and in this episode, now Kia Motors is looking forward to launch CNG variant of its compact SUV Sonnet in the coming time. The Kia Sonnet CNG has started testing in India and in the past it was seen with CNG stickers around the manufacturing plant.
It is believed that Kia Motors can introduce its first CNG car in the Indian market this year, which will compete with CNG cars from companies like Tata, Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motors.
More CNG SUVs to launch
Tata Punch CNG, Tata Nexon CNG, Hyundai Venue CNG and Maruti Brezza CNG can also be launched in India in the coming times. For the time being, if you tell about Kia Sonnet CNG, then this SUV can be seen with CNG kit as well as 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. According to the Rushlane report, the Kia Sonnet CNG could be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Kia Sonnet CNG mileage can range from 25 to 30 kmpl. At the same time, the expected price can be up to one lakh rupees more than the regular Kia Sonnet. However, in the coming time, along with the Kia Sonnet launch date, accurate mileage information can be found.
