Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2 has stormed the Indian box office. Thanks to the anticipation created by the film’s first part in 2018, the sequel had the cash registers ringing at the box office. The film’s Hindi version has reportedly crossed Rs 54 mark on its opening day. Worldwide, the film has reportedly crossed Rs 125 crore.
According to popular trade analyst Ramesh Bala, ‘K.G.F 2’ (Hindi) has edged past the Hrithik Roshan – Tiger Shroff starrer ‘War’ to top the charts. While the exact numbers are yet to be divulged, the current reports suggest that ‘K.G.F 2’ – Hindi has crossed the Rs. 54 Cr. mark on its opening day to become the highest Day #1 grosser for a Hindi release!
KGF 2 has released on about 10000 screens worldwide. Multiple versions of the film are available across India on about 6500 screens. The Hindi version alone is playing on about 4000 screens.
The Prashanth Neel directorial has lived up to its pan-India mark owing to its retro setting and high octane action sequences. The film had already minted over Rs 20 crore in the advanced booking itself.
KGF 2 also received a massive opening across south Indian states. While the film dominated the box office in Karnataka, it also received a huge launch in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and the Telugu states. The film traces the story of Rocky’s rise and his encounters with his enemies. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Malavika Avinash, Prakash Raj, John Kokken and Saran in important roles.
