Kashmir: Lashkar-e-Islam threatens Kashmiri Hindus, asks them to leave Valley

Srinagar:

Terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Islam has issued a warning to Kashmiri Hindus to ‘leave Kashmir or be killed’. In a threatening letter to Hindu families living in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, the terrorist organization threatened to kill all Kashmiri Hindus if they did not flee the Kashmir Valley.

The police said that they are checking the credibility and authenticity of the letter.

However, the danger does not seem real. According to the police, in view of the fact that the existence of the said terrorist organization is uncertain. The police assured that strict precautions are being taken and security arrangements are still in place.

Around 150-200 families of Kashmiri Hindus live at the

Veervan

colony in Baramulla. They have secured government jobs in the Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Yojana under the rehabilitation scheme in the region.

‘Every Kashmiri Hindu will die’

The threatening letter was sent to the security details of the colony by post on Tuesday evening. The letter was written in English and clearly stated that it would be considered a final warning to Kashmiri Hindus.

The letter read, “Neither Modi nor Shah will be able to save you. Every Kashmiri Hindu will die. Kashmir belongs only to those who believe in Allah and His Messenger. Every Kashmiri Hindu is a threat to an Islamic Kashmir.

It is clear in the

Quran that one who does not believe in Allah and His Messenger deserves to be killed.”

Lashkar-e-Islam is said to be a branch of the already existing Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist group. It is important to note here that the said terrorist organisation

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)

had issued similar threats to Kashmiri Hindus residing in Kulgam in August 2016.
