Jaishankar destroys American arrogance on US soil with THIS reply on human rights

New Delhi:

India has once again shown the mirror to the United States (US). External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is currently visiting the US, has once again retaliated by taking on the arrogance of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Responding to a statement by Blinken, the Indian Foreign Minister said, “we also have an eye on human rights issues in the US.”

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has responded to the statement of his US counterpart in which Antony Blinken said that the US is watching some recent worrying developments happening in India. These include increasing incidents of alleged human rights violations by some state governments, police and prison officials.

Responding to this statement by Anthony Blinken, S Jaishankar said, “India also has its views about the US. These things arise from the lobby and vote bank politics in the US.”

Speaking to the media at the conclusion of his visit to Washington, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “We did not discuss the issue of human rights in the meeting. The meeting was mainly focused on politico-military matters.”

Responding to a question, Jaishankar said the issue of human rights was not discussed during the meeting, but it was discussed in the past.

“This topic had come up earlier. This came to the fore when Foreign Minister Blinken visited India. I think if you remember the press briefing after that, I was very vocal about the fact that we discussed this issue and I said what I had to say,” he added.

Referring to Anthony Blinken’s statement, Jaishankar said that India also shares its views on the human rights situation of other people, including the US. He also takes up matters related to the Indian community.
