Mumbai: Rajasthan Royals (RR) spinner Yuzvendra Chahal became the second fastest to reach the milestone of 10 IPL wickets against Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
Chahal took 118 matches to achieve the feat. His best bowling figures during his IPL journey was 4/25 against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) during the 2016 edition.
Former Sri Lanka fast bowler Lasith Malinga is at the top spot in this list having reached the landmark in 105 IPL matches. He had reached the landmark during the 2017 IPL in a macth against the Delhi Daredevils.
During Sunday’s match, Chahal registered figures of 4/41 to help his team to a three-run win. This was his third four-wicket haul in the IPL.
Till now, the spinner has claimed a total of 11 wickets in IPL 2022 and holds the Purple Cap as the highest wicketer so far of this edition.
Earlier, Yuzvendra was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from 2014 to 2021, before getting removed in 2022. Now, he became a part of RR, the franchise picked him at 6.5 crores.
