IPL 2022: Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav clash during no-ball controversy ... WATCH

Mumbai:

The atmosphere turned heated during the last over of the match played between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals on Friday. The issue escalated to such an extent that Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant signaled to call back his players from the field.

In the final over of their IPL match against Rajasthan Royals, a no-ball was given to a delivery above the waist by the umpires. It was not even being checked. Pant said that he thought it was a no-ball and the third umpire should have intervened. However, this was not happening.

Meanwhile, amidst all the controversy, everyone missed what happened between Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. Now its video has also surfaced.

In a viral video of the match, Chahal is seen asking Kuldeep to go back to his crease to bat. It looks like they are forcibly sending Kuldeep. At the same time, they were waiting for instructions from their captain (Rishabh Pant).

Kuldeep Yadav, who was on the non-striker’s end, signaled to the umpires to demand that the last delivery be checked for a possible no-ball at height. Powell also spoke to the umpires. But the umpires said the delivery was perfect.

Pant signaled Powell and Kuldeep to come out, though assistant coach Shane Watson tried to convince them. Another DC coaching staff member Pravin Amre went to the playground, but the umpires asked him to go back. The match, however, resumed after a long delay and DC suffered a 15-run defeat.

Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler, who scored a match-winning 116, was also seen talking to Pant near the boundary line.

When asked about the incident after the match, Pant said, “I thought no-balls could be valuable to us. I thought we could have checked the no ball, but it is not in my control.”
