Police have recovered 710 grams of crystal methamphetamine (‘ice’) in the house of a suspect who was already in the custody of the Enderamulla Police under a Detention Order (DO), on Wednesday. He had been arrested first by the Peliyagoda Divisional Crime Investigation Unit on the charges of drug trafficking, police said. Later, the Mahara Magistrate had issued a DO against this 24-year-old suspect of Kelaniya until April 10.
Police have recovered the crystal methamphetamine based on information received from Kadawatha and Wattala Police stations. Kadawatha Police are investigating.
