Honda City, the most demandable and most exclusive sedan of millions of people in India, today comes in its hybrid avatar. Today, on April 14, along with the look and features of the Honda City eHEV, the price will also be revealed. This hybrid avatar of Honda City will see two electric motors, which will be mated to a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder petrol engine.
In the Honda City Hybrid, its two electric motors will produce electricity and over a period of time it will be powered by the petrol engine as well as electricity. At present, let us tell you about the look and features of Honda City Hybrid.
Electric motors
Honda City Hybrid will be offered today with 2 trim levels namely V and ZX. The sedan will also be powered by a 0.734kWh Lithium Ion battery, which will supply electricity to the car along with the petrol engine and thereby improve the car’s mileage. The City Hybrid will be launched with Honda’s i-MMD hybrid technology. Its petrol engine will generate 98bhp power and 127Nm torque.
At the same time, its electric motor will work as an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and it will be capable of generating 109bhp power and 253Nm torque. According to media reports, the mileage of Honda City Hybrid can be up to 30kmpl.
Expected price
The Honda City Hybrid can be offered in India with a starting price of up to Rs 18 lakh. Talking about the look and features of Honda City Hybrid, this sedan is going to be seen in the most sporty and stylish avatar ever. Grills will be seen in this sedan along with better rear and front bumpers. Black accents will be seen on its ORVMs. After that, the rest of the interior will see an all black theme and a luxurious dashboard.
