Alia has talked in the past about how she had once given a screen test for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie Balika Vadhu. While the film was shelved, Alia, 11, and Ranbir, 21, however, did do a photoshoot together and a picture from the same has now surfaced on the internet. The black-and-white picture shows Alia resting her head on Ranbir’s shoulder.

In the picture, Alia appears to be wearing a saree. While Alia has talked about the picture previously, it’s the first time fans got a glimpse of it. And now that Alia, who has always been a “Ranbir Loyalist”, is married to him, this picture holds more significance than ever. However, some netizens have highlighted the age gap between the two, pointing out that Alia was a kid back then. However, bringing the age gap is pointless to bring out as the film was literally based on child marriage.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot on April 14 in an opulent and intimate ceremony at actor’s residence Vaastu. Post wedding, the couple also hosted a small bash at their residence for family and close friends. The event was also attended by Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan.
Meanwhile, Alia and Ranbir are set to share the screen space for the first time in Brahmastra. The trilogy, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is an amalgamation of science and mythology. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy, Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva is set to release in theatres on September 9.
