Covid-19 Pandemic: New coronavirus variant found in Mumbai; WHO gives big warning

Coronavirus cases have started decreasing in the country. Amidst all this, a piece of big news is coming out. Actually, a case of a new variant of coronavirus has come to light from Mumbai. According to the reports, the name of this new Covid-19 variant is XE which is a sub-variant of Omicron BA.1 and BA.2.

The first case was found in the United Kingdom

According to the report, 376 samples were taken in Mumbai. Out of which 230 patients have been confirmed with Omicron. With this, a patient has got the XE variant. Let us tell you that recently the first case of XE was seen in the United Kingdom on 19 January.

WHO warning

The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a warning regarding this new variant XE. According to WHO, this new variant spreads faster than the previous variant. According to the reports, this new variant spreads 10 percent faster than the previous variants. It is being speculated that the maximum number of cases of this variant can be seen in the coming time.

In view of the decreasing cases of Corona, many states had decided to relax the Covid-19 restrictions. Many states had also relaxed the challan regarding masks. In such a situation, the danger increases with the advent of new variants.
