Coronavirus in China: 7 more Covid-19 patients die in Shanghai

Shanghai: 

The coronavirus pandemic in China has become uncontrollable. Since the month of March, there is a spurt in the number of Covid-19 cases in China. The situation is worst in China’s financial capital Shanghai. 

Despite strict restrictions in Shanghai, there does not seem to be any reduction in the number of coronavirus cases. Seven more people died of Covid-19 in China’s most populous city on Monday.

Seven more patients died in Shanghai on Monday due to coronavirus. Earlier, three patients had died on Sunday. The first death was recorded here on Sunday in the new wave of the coronavirus pandemic. In two days, 10 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus in Shanghai. A total of 4,648 people have died of coronavirus in China so far.

Over 20,000 new Covid-19 cases in Shanghai

There has been an increase in coronavirus cases in Shanghai. On April 18, 20,416 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Shanghai. Of these, 3,084 Covid-19 cases are symptomatic. On Sunday, 2,417 symptomatic Covid-19 cases were reported. The number of asymptomatic patients on Monday stood at 17,332.

Over 21,000 Covid-19 cases in China

The highest number of cases of coronavirus has been reported in Shanghai. In fact, 21,600 new cases of coronavirus have been registered across China on April 18. The National Health Commission gave out this information on Tuesday. 

A day before this i.e. on Sunday, a total of 23,460 Covid-19 cases were recorded in China. The total number of coronavirus cases in China has now increased to 1,88,351.
