Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Brahmastra is one of the most anticipated films of all time. After multiple delays in the wake of Covid pandemic, the film is finally set to hit theatres on September 9. The makers have been dropping details related to the film in parts. After introducing the audience to Ranbir’s Shiva in 2021 and unveiling Alia as Isha last month, the makers have now shared a sneak peek of Shiva and Isha’s love story. Alia, on Sunday, took to Instagram to share a glimpse into the world of Brashmastra with a romantic melody, titled ‘Kesariya’, by Arijit Singh crooning in the background. The ‘love poster’ shared by Alia shows Shiva and Isha holding onto each other. With their eyes shut, the world appears to drop dead for the two as they grab each other passionately. Sharing the update, Alia wrote, “Love and light”.

Ayan Mukerji, who has been at the helm of the project, took to Instagram to share further details into the ‘love poster’. The filmmaker shared that the chapter of Brahmastra, which is now called ‘Part One: Shiva’, used to be ‘Part One: Love’ for the longest time. “‘Love is the Light!'” he said. “Because at its core, Brahmāstra is about the Energy of Love. A Love – that spread like Fire, beyond the Movie, and into Life. So here it is, our Love Poster ! The Time feels Right for it…There is some extra love in the air these days ! 🙂 (And with it, a little piece of the magic of Kesariya, Pritam (Dada), Amitabh Bhattacharya, Arijit…) Shiva & Isha. Ranbir & Alia. Love – The Greatest Astra!” he summed.
Last week, Ayan Mukerji had announced the wrap of the first part of the film. Taking to Instagram, he had penned a lengthy note refecting upon “Absolutely incredible, challenging,
once-in-a-lifetime journey!!!” that making of Brashmastra has been. “Some hand of destiny that we finished the shoot of ‘Part One: Shiva’ in Varanasi – a city infused with the spirit of Shiv Bhagwan, and that too at the most sacred Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, allowing us to finish in an atmosphere of purity, joy and blessings 🙏” he wrote.
Apart from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in key roles.
