Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor to host wedding reception at Taj Mahal Palace; Exes Sidharth Malhotra, Katrina Kaif invited?

Days are in countdown for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding that is set to take place this week. The preparations are currently underway as Alia’s manager and security were seen on a recce outside Ranbir’s apartment last week. While the couple has been tight lipped about the wedding, close sources to their families have confirmed that a wedding is indeed taking place. Several details including weddings menu, outfits and guest list have been making rounds on the internet. In the recent, the couple’s reception venue has been disclosed. If media reports are to be believed, Ranbir and Alia will host their reception at Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai. The reception is set to take place on April 17. 

Apparently, the lovebirds have invited who’s who of Bollywood for their grand reception. From Alia’s ex Sidharth Malhotra to Ranbir’s exes Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone, all the Bollywood A-listers will gather to celebrate the union of the couple at Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace, reportedly. Also invited to the big event are 

Earlier, a source had told India Today that things are not awkward at all between Ranbir, Alia, Deepika and Katrina. The source said, “Everyone has moved on. There is no question of being awkward. In fact, Katrina and Alia are even working together in Farhan Akhtar’s next directorial venture, Jee Le Zara, which is written by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Katgi. Alia even reached out to Katrina during her wedding and gave her best wishes. Similarly, Ranbir and Ranveer Singh are friendly and they both respect each other’s work. So it won’t come as a surprise if all these couples make a friendly appearance at the reception in Mumbai.”

The source added that Alia and Ranbir want to extend their love and celebrate this marriage with everyone who has contributed to their career in the industry.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir and Alia will share the screen space for the first time in Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra. The sci-fi trilogy also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
