The Kashmir Files box office collection Day 2: Vivek Agnihotri's film shows over 139% growth

Vivek Agnihotri’s latest outing The Kashmir Files saw tremendous growth on the box office collections on its second day. The film registered a phenomenal growth of 139% as compared to its opening day collection, earning Rs 8 crore on Saturday. This took the total collections of the film past ₹12 crore. 

While The Kashmir Files had a limited release, due to demand, the number of screens and shows have been increased now.

Taran Adarsh wrote, “#TheKashmirFiles highlights… Emerges first choice of moviegoers, overtakes #RadheShyam #Hindi, #GangubaiKathiawadi, #TheBatman.Screens and shows increased. Morning shows – starting as early as 6.30 am – have commenced. Unprecedented advance booking for Day 3 [Sun] (sic).”

As for the box office collection, it more than doubled on Day 2. Taran Adarsh wrote, “#TheKashmirFiles is SENSATIONAL, biz more than doubles on Day 2 Registers 139.44% growth, HIGHEST EVER GROWTH [Day 2] *since 2020*… East, West, North, South, #BO is on This film is UNSTOPPABLE Fri 3.55 cr, Sat 8.50 cr. Total: 12.05 cr. #India biz… FANTASTIC (sic)!”

The Kashmir Files features Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, and Pallavi Joshi. The film has been receiving rave reviews from the audience and critics alike. The film is being hailed for attempting to bring forth the plight of more than five lakh Kashmiri Pandits who had to leave behind everything they had in the Valley in 1990.
