New Delhi:
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday exuded confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and and with public blessings, BJP-led government will return to power in the state. He also said that the BJP will be achieving target of 300-mark.
“Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and with public blessings, double-engine government will return to power in Uttar Pradesh. This election has already moved towards 80 vs 20. Gloomy environment prevails in SP, BSP and Congress camps after first phase of polls. BJP is achieving target of 300-mark,” Yogi Adityanath told ANI in an interview.
He also said the 80-20 remark that he had made in a political rally was not in religious context.
The BJP leader further said 80 per cent include those who are happy with the government’s agenda of security and development, while the remaining 20 per cent includes people with “negative mentality who oppose”.
“It’s a reaction to action. I said 80 per cent people are with BJP and 20 per cent always oppose us and will do so this time too. I didn’t say it the context of religion or caste. 80 per cent includes those who are happy with Government’s agenda of security and development,” Adityanath said.
