Allegations against BJP and Trinamool on Netaji Jayanti

The feud between Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the BJP continued even on the birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

Mamata Banerjee accused the central government of not including Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s tableau on the occasion of Republic Day and demanded that the birthday of the legendary freedom fighter be declared a national holiday.

On the other hand, the Bengal BJP organized various programs on the occasion of Netaji’s birthday. Tributes were paid on behalf of BJP at the state office on Sunday morning. On this occasion, the Bengal BJP leaders alleged that the Mamata government did not fulfill the promise made to Netaji.

BJP MLA Agnimitra Pal said that Mamata had spoken of constructing a mausoleum in the name of Azad Hind Fauj in Rajarhat area and setting up a university in the name of Netaji, but despite the completion of one year, it has not been done yet.

“The West Bengal CM is politicizing the tableau issue, but the central government has already included Netaji’s tableau in the Republic Day parade,” he said.

The Government of West Bengal has announced that Netaji’s 125th birth anniversary is being celebrated as ‘Desh Nayak Diwas’. At the same time, a Jai Hind University is being set up in the name of Netaji, which will be 100 per cent fully funded by the state government and will be affiliated with foreign universities.

A Bengal Planning Commission will also be set up on the National Planning Commission inspired by Netaji’s views, which will help in the planning initiatives of West Bengal.
