Jammu and Kashmir: Two LeT terrorists killed Kulgam encounter

The security forces have achieved great success in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The Security forces have killed two terrorists in an encounter at Hasanpura village in Kulgam district. 

Thus, from the beginning of this year till now, i.e. in 9 days, a total of 7 encounters have been witnessed in the Kashmir Valley, in which 13 terrorists have been killed.

Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that both the terrorists were locals and were associated with The Resistance Front affiliated to Lashkar-e-Taiba. They were also involved in many terrorist crimes. 

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have identified the two terrorists as Amir Ahmed Wani of Alamganj in Shopian and Sameer Ahmed Khan of Tiken in Pulwama.

A police spokesperson said that the security forces had launched a search and siege operation after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in Hasanpura village of the district. Police said he was given full option to surrender, but he started firing at security forces. After which the encounter started.
