ED will arrest Satyendar Jain in coming days: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi:

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said his sources has apprised that in the coming days, the Enforcement Directorate will arrest Delhi cabinet minister Satyendar Jain.

“In the coming days, ED is going to arrest Satyendar Jain. They are welcome to do so,” Kejriwal said.

He added, “The Central government has conducted raids on Satyendar Jain, twice earlier. They found nothing during the raids. If they want to conduct searches again, they are most welcome.”

Kejriwal said since elections are coming and whenever BJP sees that it is going to get defeated in the polls, they unleash all the central agencies. It is therefore obvious, raids will be conducted, arrests will be made.

“We do not have any fear because if you are already walking on the path of truth, such hindrances occur. If BJP-led Central government wants to send its other agencies CBI, income tax, or even Delhi Police, they can send them. They can also arrest Satyendar Jain and others if they want to because we have never done anything wrong,” the Delhi Chief Minister said.

Earlier, raids were conducted by ED on Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendar Jain and Arvind Kejriwal. 21 MLAs were arrested but all the cases fell through in the court.

“They will arrest Satyendar Jain and release him within five to 10. We are not scared of either being imprisoned or being raided,” Kejriwal.

The Delhi CM further said why the Centre is just sending ED officials to raid Satyendar Jain, they are welcome to send the agency to his (Kejriwal) residence, Punjab CM candidate for AAP Bhagwant Mann’s house and other leaders and all will welcome the officials to carry out complete search.

Delhi CM further said his party members will not cry like Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi whose relatives were being raided by the ED earlier this week. “He is frustrated because he had done wrong… We’ve not done anything wrong so we are not afraid,” Kejriwal said.

Assembly elections in five states – Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand – will be held between February 10 and March 7. Counting of votes for all the state elections will be held on March 10.
