Coronavirus Pandemic Review Meeting: PM Modi said THESE important things

In view of the growing coronavirus cases in the country and the threat of Omicron variant, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the status of the Covid-19 pandemic during a special meeting on Sunday.

During this meeting, the Prime Minister said that special attention should be paid to the preparations in view of the increase in Covid-19 cases due to the Omicron variant.

During the review meeting, PM Modi stressed on the need to ensure adequate health infrastructure at the district level. He asked officials to maintain coordination regarding this with the states.

Highlights of PM Modi’s speech during meeting

– Ensure adequate health facilities at district level

– Accelerate Vaccine Campaign for Teens in Mission Mode

– Given that the virus is constantly evolving, there is a need for continued scientific research into tests, vaccines and pharmacological interventions, including genome sequencing.

– Ensure continuity of non-covid health services and take advantage of telemedicine to ensure availability of health guidance to people in remote and rural areas.

– Meetings with CMs to discuss state-specific scenarios, best practices and public health response.

– Continuous mass movement, stay focused on appropriate behavior in our ongoing fight against Covid-19.

Apart from Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandvia, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gaba, Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, DG of ICMR and other senior officials were present in this review meeting.
