Behave or be ready for war: US sends strong message to China in Indo-Pacific region

Amid rising tensions between the US and China, the dispute between the two countries has once again deepened in the Indo-Pacific region.

The sudden arrival of a US Navy submarine, one of the most powerful weapons in the US Navy, at a port on the island of Guam has caused a stir. China and North Korea are regarding this move by the US as a threat.

The question then is why did the US send its submarine to the island of Guam? Why has the war situation in the Indo-Pacific region arisen from this? Why do China and North Korea object to this US move?

1- The US Navy has sent a strong message to North Korea and China by launching its most powerful submarine in the Indo-Pacific region. The Joe Biden administration’s move makes it clear that it cannot turn a blind eye to China’s growing interference in the Indo-Pacific region.

In addition, the US administration has sent a message that it is committed to protecting its allies. The US cannot ignore the interests of its Allies. The concern of Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan and other countries is increasing due to China’s interference in the Indo-Pacific region.

2- The US Navy has landed its most powerful submarine on the island of Guam, signaling that if China does not back down, then the US military is ready for war. This is in response to China’s open threat to the US administration. The Joe Biden administration has shown that its navy is fully prepared and capable of responding to any move by China. He said it was a pre-attack warning, not an attack. This is a sign that if you do not agree, then be ready for war.

3- The Joe Biden administration has also conveyed the message to its allies that it stands shoulder to shoulder with its allies in any case. The Joe Biden administration has sent a message to the Indo-Pacific nations that the United States stands with them. This step of Biden administration is being considered very important after the formation of the QUAD. The Joe Biden administration is fully aware of regional instability in the Indo-Pacific region.

4- The Ohio-class nuclear-powered submarine arrived at the US Navy base in the Pacific island region with 20 Trident ballistic missiles and dozens of nuclear weapons. This submarine is also called ‘Boomer’. This is the first submarine voyage to Guam since 2016.

The U.S. Navy said in a statement that the submarine’s port visit strengthens mutual cooperation between the United States and its allies in the region. It is a demonstration of American ability, readiness and flexibility. It demonstrates the continued commitment to the security and stability of the Indo-Pacific region.

The world trembles at the power of this submarine

The activities of the 14 boomers in the U.S. Navy fleet are generally kept secret. Atomic energy means that these submarines can be submerged in water for months at a time. Their underwater capability depends on the supply of essential supplies to a crew of more than 150 sailors. The Navy has informed that Ohio-class submarines can stay underwater for an average of 77 days after spending about a month at the port for maintenance and replenishment.
