New Delhi:
Those taking Covid-19 vaccines
in the five poll-bound states will not have Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photo
on their
vaccination certificates.
According to a PTI report,
since the model code of conduct has come into force
in the five states where assembly elections are due to be held in the near future,
Covid-19 vaccination certificates issued
in these states will not be able to display PM Modi’s photo.
According to reports,
necessary filters
will be applied on the Co-WIN platform by
the Union Health Ministry
in order to remove Modi’s photo from the Covid-19 vaccine certificate.
Meanhwile, in view of the growing coronavirus cases in the country and the threat of Omicron variant, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the status of the Covid-19 pandemic during a special meeting on Sunday.
During this meeting, the Prime Minister said that special attention should be paid to the preparations in view of the increase in Covid-19 cases due to the Omicron variant.
During the review meeting, PM Modi stressed on the need to ensure adequate health infrastructure at the district level. He asked officials to maintain coordination regarding this with the states.
