New Delhi:
A video of an advocate of the Madras High Court seen in a compromising position with a woman during a hearing through video conferencing has surfaced on social media. Acting on the indecent incident, the Madras High Court has ordered a CB-CID probe against the lawyer and has also initiated contempt of court proceedings against him.
The CB-CID has been asked to file a suo motu FIR against the advocate RD Santhana Krishnan.
The High Court had suspended the advocate from practising law across all courts, tribunals and other authorities in India.

The bench on Tuesday said the “Court cannot afford to be a mute spectator and turn a Nelson’s eye when such brazen vulgarity is publicly displayed amidst Court proceedings”. It also directed the Police to stop the circulation of the video clip on social media, which purportedly shows the lawyer in an intimate position with a woman, while hearing was going on virtually.
The judges also directed the Tamil Nadu Bar Council to take appropriate disciplinary action against Krishnan.
