Tiger Sport 660: Bookings of Triumph's most affordable offroader bike to begin

New Delhi:

UK-based motorcycle company Triumph Motorcycles India has started pre-bookings for the Tiger Sport 660 to be launched in the next few months. Interested customers can book the motorcycle for a token amount of ₹50,000. However, the company has not yet made the official launch date of the motorcycle public.

The new Tiger Sport 660 will be positioned as the most affordable, middleweight, adventure-style sports-tourer motorcycle in the company’s adventure lineup.

The Tiger Sport 660 has already been made available in the international market and has already been listed on the company’s official India website from October 2021.

The Tiger Sport 660 is based on Triumph’s most affordable roadster, the Trident 660. However, with a few key differences, the Tiger Sport proves to be a bike with new characteristics. It gets an all-new design, a different sub-frame and a longer travel suspension setup to make it better-touring.

Some of its key features and equipment include full-LED lighting, two riding modes (road and rain), a Bluetooth-ready instrument cluster, a switchable traction control and ABS.

In terms of performance, this motorcycle is equipped with a 660 cc, inline-three cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This powertrain comes mated to a six-speed transmission. This engine is capable of producing 80bhp power at 10,250rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm.

In the Indian market, this bike can compete with Kawasaki Versys 650 and Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT.
