Tata Motors to soon launch 3 CNG cars

Tata Motors is soon going to introduce Tata Punch CNG, Tata Tiago CNG and Tata Tigor CNG in the Indian market, which will compete with Maruti WagonR CNG, Maruti Dzire Tour S, Hyundai Centro CNG and Hyundai Aura CNG.

Next year many automobile companies in India are going to launch CNG cars to save people’s money. Yes, in fact people are focusing on CNG and electric cars due to increase in the prices of petrol and diesel and since electric cars are relatively expensive, CNG car is a good option for the customers.  In this effort, Tata Motors is soon going to launch CNG variants of its popular hatchback Tata Tiago, sedan Tata Tigor and micro SUV Tata Punch.

Recently the testing of Tata Tiago CNG, Tata Tigor CNG and Tata Punch CNG has started and its glimpse has also been seen.  According to media reports, the unofficial booking of Tata’s factory fitted CNG cars has also started at the dealership level at some places, although no official information has been given on this news.  It is believed that it can be introduced in the Indian market only early next year.

To get good mileage

If you talk about the engine options of Tata’s upcoming CNG cars, then Tata Tigor and Tata Tiago will get a 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol unit, which will be able to generate 85 bhp power and 113 Nm torque.  The factory fitted CNG kit of these cars will be able to generate 70 hp power and 90 Nm torque.  These cars will come with 5 speed gearbox.  It is believed that the mileage of Tata’s upcoming CNG cars can be up to 30 km/kg.

Nexon CNG may also come

It is believed that Tata Motors can introduce its premium hatchback Tata Altroz as well as a CNG variant of the compact SUV Tata Nexon in the coming times.  At present, CNG cars from different segments of Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motors are sold in the Indian market and when Tata’s CNG cars will come in the market, customers will get many more options, which can also be better.
