PM talks with SJB MPs who staged protest

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday walked upto the group of Samagi Jana Balavegaya Parliamentarians who were staging a protest at the entrance to the Parliament Complex demanding enhanced security for their Members and had a cordial discussion with the protesting MP’s. The SJB MP’s protested after having boycotted the day’s Parliamentary sittings. The Prime Minister who recalled protests organised by him in the past as an Opposition Parliamentarian told the SJB MPs that they needed to attract a larger group of MPs than the one present when staging such protests. SJB MPs Patali Champika Ranawaka, Rajitha Senaratne and Imthiaz Bakeer Markar were seen having a cordial conversation with the Prime Minister. Picture by Prime Ministers Media Division
