Omicron scare: Haryana govt says only fully-vaccinated people allowed at malls, banks from Jan 1

Chandigarh:

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij has announced that people, who have not received both the doses of COVID-19 vaccine, will not be allowed at public places, including banks, malls, government offices and in buses from January 1 onwards.

“Those who are not fully vaccinated will not be allowed  at public places after January 1 – marriage hall, hotel, bank, any mall, any government office, bus,” Vij said.

This comes amid rising concerns over the new COVID-19 variant, Omicron.

Earlier today, Vij informed that no Omicron cases have been detected in Haryana till now. “The state government is geared to combat the spread of Omicron variant and also to deal with any surge in the number of COVID-19 cases. 3,11,86,292 vaccine doses administered till December 19 in the State,” said Anil Vij.
