Jammu and Kashmir: One terrorist killed by security forces in Srinagar, encounter continues

Srinagar:

On Sunday morning, an encounter started between security forces and terrorists in the Harwan area of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

In this encounter, the security forces have killed an unidentified terrorist. Kashmir Zone Police tweeted the information of this entire incident.

The search operation is going on. Further details are awaited.

Terrorist, separatist and terror funding networks will be eliminated

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is engaged in completely dismantling the network of terrorist-political nexus and terror funding in Jammu and Kashmir, has summoned senior leader of Peoples Democratic Party and Vice President of District Development Council Ganderbal Bilal Ahmed for questioning. 

Earlier, NIA has also questioned PDP’s Waheed Para. At present, Para is in jail. According to the information, the NIA has sent a notice to senior PDP leader and Vice President of DDC Ganderbal Bilal Ahmed in district Ganderbal for questioning on Saturday morning itself. 

He has been asked to appear at the NIA headquarters in New Delhi on December 23. Although Bilal Ahmed has refused to comment on the NIA notice, sources concerned said that he is to be interrogated in cases related to terrorist, separatist and terror funding. 

Over the past few months, the NIA has detained around 60 suspected elements in the Valley for questioning in connection with terror activities. 

During the interrogation of these people, the name of Bilal Ahmed has also come to the fore. The NIA has also investigated them before sending them notices for questioning.

Smart fencing approved at 23 air bases after Pathankot attack

After the Pathankot attack, the central government has approved smart power fencing at 23 air bases. This fencing is known as Integrated Perimeter Security System (IPSS). 

This information was given by the Minister of State for Defense Ajay Bhatt in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha. 

He said that the Air Force has entered into an agreement with Bharat Electronics Limited to install this system at 23 air bases across the country.
