Five students of the Jaffna University have been admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital with serious injuries following a clash between two groups of students.
A group of university students had held a liquor party at a restaurant in the Pannai area in Jaffna the incident had happened as a result of an argument that escalated at the party.
The restaurant in Jaffna was also damaged due to the attack by the university students and the hotel workers who had gone to prevent the attack were also attacked by the university students.
Two of the five students injured in the attack sustained serious head injuries.
Jaffna Police are conducting investigations.
