Embassy of Japan attended anniversary of SJGH

On December 1st, NINOMIYA Seiya, Second Secretary of Embassy of Japan, has attended the 37th Anniversary of the Sri Jayawardenepura General Hospital (SJGH) Commemoration Ceremony as a representative from the Embassy of Japan.

Sri Jayawardenepura General Hospital was constructed by the support of Japan in 1983, and one of the great symbols of the historical relationship and token of friendship between Japan and Sri Lanka.

Ninomiya cerebrated the E-medical record system and hospital website, which were launched on the same day at the hospital, and commended the hospital for providing quality medical services to the people in this country over a long period of time and for being one of the centres for providing medical training for development of health workforce of Sri Lanka as a teaching hospital.

The Government of Japan wishes that Sri Jayawardenepura General Hospital will continue to meet the needs of the people as it always did and continue to be loved by the Sri Lankan people while enhancing the cordial bilateral relationship between Japan and Sri Lanka as two nations prepare to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year.
