COVID-19 explosion in Delhi, 125 new cases in last 24 hours

New Delhi:

COVID-19 cases in the national capital has rising over the last few days. On Wednesday, Delhi reported 125 new cases of coronavirus, the health bulletin said. 

On Tuesday Delhi reported 102 cases of COVID-19, while on Monday cases were below hundred and was at 91.

No COVID-19 deaths were reported in Delhi in the last 24 hours. As many as 58 patients have recovered from coronavirus in the national capital today.

As per the health bulletin, Delhi has 624 active cases of COVID-19. 

In the last 24 hours, 6,802 samples were tested for COVID-19 through rapid antigen test. As many as 56,511 samples were tested via RT-PCR/CBNAAT/True Nat tests in the same period. 

Delhi positivity rate now stands at 0.20 per cent. 

As many as 37,295 have taken the first dose of their COVID-19 vaccine, while 80,186 people have been fully vaccinated in the national capital. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Delhi has maximum number of Omicron cases. The national capital has 57 cases of the new variant of COVID-19. 

Earlier on Wednesday, the Delhi government has banned gatherings in NCT for Christmas and New Year.
