CBSE Term 1 exams 2021: No student to fail in Class 10, 12

: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided not to fail any class 10 and 12 students this year. This came as good news for over 33 lakh students who registered for the CBSE.

It came as good news especially for those students who found the term 1 board exams tough.

The introduction of the two boards pattern was new for students. The term 1 exams were conducted in MCQ-type format. Several students had raised concerns that the exams held this year were tougher.

In view of this, the Board has decided not to fail any student. The term 1 board exam results will only consist of marks. Students will be evaluated for the exams but none of them will be receiving a pass, fail, repeater, or compartment grade, the board said earlier. 

“Failure rates will be lower, and youngsters will have more opportunities to develop themselves.” They will be able to concentrate more on their schoolwork,” he had told news agency PTI earlier.

CBSE conducts Class 12 exams in two terms as per the new education policy. Class 12th major exams will end on December 22, 2021. The date and time of the CBSE Class 12 term 1 result will soon be declared by the CBSE. 

The CBSE Class 12 term 2 exams will be conducted in March/April 2022. The CBSE Class 10, 12 results will be declared in May 2022 on the official websites of CBSE at cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in
