Asian Champions Trophy: Japan outplays India in the semi-finals, leads by 5-1 at Q3

Dhaka:

India is at its worst scoreline 1-5 of the tournament at the end of third quarter in semi-finals of the ongoing Asian Champions Trophy.

India has not been able to either score or defend its nets against Japan who once looked helpless against the roaring Indian Team as it failed to score a single goal earlier.

What makes the situation worse for India is that they have lost their referral in the third quarter and now the team is on the court in the do-or-die match with any safeguard.

Korea ended Pakistan’s race for the trophy as it marked a blistering 6-5 win in another semi-final of the ongoing tournament.

Umar Bhutto-led Pakistan gave a strong fight to Men in Red but Jang Jonghyun, Man of the Match, hurt the Indian neighbours the most as he broke their defence four times hitting in the nets.

The frustration for the losing team came from Korean goalie Jaehyeon Kim as he defended the nets so well that Pakistan failed to take lead in any quarter barring the first goal that the leader of Green, Umar Bhutta, hit in the 14th minute.

Korea equalised the score within 12 minutes as they did not let the opponents feel safe in the entire game.

Pakistan is now set to fight in the bronze medal match with the loser of the second semi-final.
