AIIMS Bilaspur, IIT Mandi join hands to provide multiple opportunities

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has joined hands with the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Bilaspur to collectively work on joint research and short-term joint academic programmes.

The two universities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard. The collaboration aims at providing vivid opportunities to researchers for exploring and working with other institutions in the fields related to medical science and technology including medical imaging, digital pathology, point-of-care testing devices, bioinformatics, etc.

Under this MoU, students will get to attend programmes such as joint international conferences, workshops, and seminars on medical and public health and to link both sides of the medical industry, device, and equipment, based on mutual agreements, and as per existing laws.

Director of IIT Mandi, Professor Ajit K Chaturvedi talked about the collaboration said, “Through the collaboration between IIT Mandi and AIIMS Mandi we are looking forward to jointly work and excel in the field of medical sciences for the betterment of society at large.”

The two varsities have discussed the future opportunities which will occur due to this collaboration. The discussion concluded that the research and study by the candidates of the respective universities must benefit society.
