The Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre today issued an advisory for Rough Sea and Strong Winds.
According to the advisory, “Wind speed will be (25-35) kmph around the Island and it can be increased up to (50-55) kmph at times in the sea area extending from Galle to Potuvil via Matara and Hambanthota. These sea areas will be rough at times.”
Naval and fishing communities are advised to be vigilant in this regards.
