41 persons infected with the Omicron variant have been identified in Sri Lanka.
“31.12.2021: We declare 41 new cases of Omicron from our lab (A total of 45 confirmed our lab so far). We are equipped. Please use the booster vaccine to protect you and your loved ones!”, stated the Director of the Allergy, Immunology and Cell Biology Unit of Sri Jayewardenepura University Dr. Chandima Jeewandara he tweeted.
With these new cases the total number of cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 detected in Sri Lanka has increased to 45.
