PM Modi celebrates Diwali with Army personnel in Nowshera, pays tribute to martyrs

New Delhi: 

Continuing his annual tradition of celebrating Diwali with Armed forces personnel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, arrived in Nowshera sector in Jammu to bring some joy to personnel posted there. 

After arriving in Nowshera, the Prime Minister paid his tribute to soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty. 

This is Prime Minister’s second Diwali with the Army personnel deputed in Nowshera district. Earlier in 2019, PM Modi had celebrated Diwali with troops at the Army Division headquarters in Rajouri.

Earlier today, the Prime Minister greeted people on the occasion of Diwali 2021. In a tweet he said, he wishes that the festival of lights brings happiness, prosperity and good fortune in everyone’s life.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi started for Jammu region earlier this morning. There were no traffic restrictions and minimal security arrangements in Delhi for the passage of his convoy.
