Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch a new range of cars, including a new generation of existing models, in the next few years. The company will launch the new Celerio in coming days, which will be followed by a new Alto, Baleno facelift, new Vitara Brezza, 5-door Jimny and an all-new mid-size SUV.
Adding to this, MSIL is planning to introduce updated versions of the Ertiga and XL6. Apart from this, CNG editions of the existing cars will also arrive in the next few months. The next big launch from Maruti Suzuki is the next generation Alto, which has been recently spied testing.
New spy images reveal interesting details about the 2022 Maruti Alto. The new generation Alto will be much bigger and more spacious than the current model. The spotted model looks longer and wider than the current model, which should help MSIL create more space inside the cabin. The new model will be designed and developed on Suzuki’s new lightweight HEARTECT platform, which also underpins the new WagonR, S-Presso and the upcoming Celerio.
The 2022 Maruti Alto will come with a completely new design, however, the complete size of the car remains largely the same as the current model. In fact, the front design looks similar to the current car, however, the new Alto looks a bit broader. It gets a more prominent front grille, larger sweptback headlamps and a sculpted hood. The vehicle may also get a C-shaped foglamp attachment, which is likely to be hidden under the testmool. LED DRLs can also be found in the top-spec model.
