Gumla (Jharkhand):
An under-construction building of the Kurumgarh police station in Chainpur area of Jharkhand’s Gumla district was was partially damaged following IED blasts by suspected Naxals, police said.
According to a police official, the incident took place on the night of November 25.
Meanwhile, in a major breakthrough, security forces neutralised a Naxal commander involved in many major attacks in an encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma on Friday.
The operation was carried out jointly by District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Cobra Batallion 201 at Tadmetla forest area under Chintalnar police station, police said.
Sunil Sharma, Superintendant of Police, Sukma said the Naxal commander was involved in nine major attacks including the one in which 17 jawans were killed.
