Fadnavis exposes Nawab Malik's 'links' with Dawood's aide, Mumbai blast convict; NCP leader to drop 'hydrogen bomb' tomorrow

Mumbai:

Former Maharashtra chief minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday alleged that state minister Nawab Malik had “underworld links” with 1993 Mumbai bomb blast convict Sardar Shabab Ali Khan and Salim Patel, who is an aide of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Reiterating his earlier charge that the NCP leader has underworld links, Fadnavis today said, “I wish to introduce and tell about two people and their backgrounds, Sardar Shaha Wali Khan and Mohd Salim Ishaq Patel alias Salim Patel.”

“This story is about Sardar Shah Wali Khan who is convicted in 2007 by Tada Court for life imprisonment in 1993 Mumbai bomb blast. Supreme Court has confirmed the said sentence in 2013. Another person is Mohammad Salim Ishaq Patel alias Salim Patel as he’s known – front man of Haseena Parker. He was arrested in 2007 with Haseena Parkar in land grabbing and other fraud issues. He has been her frontman in property grabbing matters,” Fadnavis added.

Noting that Solidus investment is Nawab Malik’s company, Fadnavis asked, “Why did Nawab Malik purchase prime land at LBS Marg in Kurla at a throwaway price from such underworld criminals? Three acre land at LBS road got purchased only for Rs 20 lakh. Original value is  Rs 3 crore. Why did you purchase land from criminals of Mumbai?”

He added, “In such serious matter where underworld, bomb blast convicts have connections with Minister Nawab Malik, I will submit the documents to appropriate agencies for further investigation.”

Meanwhile, Nawab Malik, on his behalf, said that Fadnavis has accused him of baseless charges and now he will expose the former Maharashtra chief minister tomorrow.

“I think his sources are weak in their game, if he would have asked, I would have given him the original land documents myself… Will drop ‘hydrogen bomb’ tomorrow morning,” Malik said.
