Additional Secretary of School Affairs Branch of the Education Ministry L.M.D.Dharmasena, has been appointed as the new Commissioner General of Examinations.
He will assume duties from Monday (29).
Dharmasena, Special Grade Officer of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service (SLEAS) has served as the Commissioner of Examinations in the School Examinations and Computers and Research Branches of the Examinations Department for 9 years. He also served as the Principal of Ananda College, Colombo and Mahanama College, Colombo.
Dharmasena also served as the Commissioner of the Colleges of Education in the Education Ministry and was later appointed as an Additional Secretary. Dharmasena holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura and Ananda College Matugama, Lunugala Central College and Badulla Central College.
Cabinet approval has also been granted for his appointment.
