The Adjournment Debate on the three reports presented to Parliament by the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) on July 20th, October 06th and 07th will be held tomorrow (9) from 10.00 am to 5.30 pm.
Accordingly, the Kurunegala Municipal Council has been summoned to the Committee on Public Accounts on the 10th and the Department of Immigration and Emigration on the 16th.
Furthermore, the Auditor General’s special report on the medical supply process carried out by the Medical Supplies Division of the Ministry of Health will be taken into discussed at the COPA Committee on the 17th and the Ministry of Environment will be summoned before the Committee on the 19th.
The Gal-Oya Plantations (Pvt) Limited has been summoned before the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) on November 24th.
The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Labour is scheduled to meet on the 9th at 11.00 am to consider the Minimum Age of Workers Bill and the Termination of Employment (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Bill. The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Lands is scheduled to meet on the same day at 2.00 pm and the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Public Security is scheduled to meet on the 10th at 2.00 pm.
The meetings are scheduled to be held next week in accordance with the health guidelines with the participation of the required officials via technology.
