Readers of the upmarket travel publication Conde Nast Traveler have voted Sri Lanka the fifth best country to travel to in 2021 despite the COVID 19 pandemic which crippled the country’s tourism sector.
The Reader’s Choice Awards 2021 of the Conde Nast Traveler publication showed Sri Lanka coming in behind Morocco, Japan,New Zealand and Portugal.
Portugal has been selected as the top of the best country to travel.
Sri Lanka has been placed the fifth place among 20 countries.
Sri Lanka has also been voted as the second best country to travel to in 2020 by the readers of the up-market travel publication Conde Nast Traveler.
Conde Nast has highlighted the variety of attractions Sri Lanka has to offer from culture and tea plantations to its beaches.
